SPRING 07 REPORT!

OFFSHORE
This Spring was like none other. The winds just wouldn't let us alone. But, when we could make the trips, the fish were there hungry. We landed some very large shark, and the Grouper seems to coming back. We released unharmed a large number of Red Grouper, which were just under size limit. They have been in very short quantity before. Amberjack were in good numbers and sizes in the early Spring, and Little Tuny were always around. We also landed a fair amount of Cobia, and the sizes were very good, not a lot of size returns. They seemed unusually fat. I guess without a lot of Grouper to eat the bait fish in shallow waters, the Cobia have been eating good. There seems to be an unusually high number of Pinfish, even when they should have come in to the flats. The Kingfish were here as usual. We had a lot of medium sized fish this spring, along with a few huge ones. We mounted quite a few Shark and Kings this season. The Blackfin Tuna seemed to stay in deeper water for the most part. Snapper seems to be doing well in intermediate waters. Come out and join us for some great fun and eating. The weather has changed and it's great fishing now.
