BRADENTON - OFFSHORE & INSHORE
2003 ANNUAL REVIEW

OFFSHORE 2003 began rather well but weather kin'da slowed
us down a bit. The Kings came a little late (starting March 11th), but the season was the best ever with two more kings in the sixty pound area.
We had one about 65 pounds, and another at the last of November that would have been closer to 70 pounds (Picture Below W/Mate). The
Mangrove Snapper were astounding. They were so co-operative, we almost always went home with our limit, and usually released unharmed
about the same amount. It seems that the grouper get a little slower every year, but we did catch some big ones. The Cobia season was
absolutely fabulous, some were small, but the fights were great. Some days we caught 15 or 20 of them along with our other catches, which
really makes for a great fighting day, and we are able to send our customers home tired but with a smile on their face and some great fight
stories to tell. We caught great Amberjacks, some Blackfin Tuna and Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi, Dorado) through the warmer months, and the Shark season was really
one to remember. We caught a lot of Bulls, Blacktip, and Blacknose. Some of the Bulls were pretty large, but two to three hundred pounders
were awsome fights.
We are hoping for a great Spring season this year (2004), and it seems like we will get our wishes. The Kings started a little late because of
temperature of the water being about two to three degrees colder than normal, but they are on their way and promise to provide a great fighting
year. Get your reservations now before the great days are all taken. We had some of the GREATS back (our best anglers) this year, and
they really make the difference. Some were not even anglers a year or two ago, but learned on our vessel, and we are very proud of their
truly great success.
Below is just a few of our rememberences for this year, there isn't room for all of them, but you will find the rest of them on the Thumbnails Menu.
Bent rods and screaming reels, see ya on the water.
