OFFSHORE This time of year the Gag Grouper are in fairly close,
and we are still finding some Red Grouper in about 80 feet of water. The Mangrove Snapper are congregated on the short reefs. For those of you
who wish to go for Amberjack, they are plentiful on 8 hour trips. We are also finding Nurse Shark on the ledges sometimes. Little Tuny are around
all of the springs and traveling in many of the coral ledge areas where a lot of bait congregates. On long trips you can also opt for Blackfin Tuna,
but we have to leave early in the morning.
The fish have been biting pretty well, but we have had some weather this year, and haven't seemed to be able to get rid of it. I believe this will
end very soon though, and warm weather will bring some South to Southeast breezes back. It looks like this may happen within a week or so.
Better get ready now and make arrangements for a trip before the good dates are all taken.
Bent rods and screaming reels, see ya on the water.
