BRADENTON - OFFSHORE & INSHORE
(November - December)
OFFSHORE We cannot complain about this years fishing. We have had a bumber crop of Kingfish, and although Grouper started a little slow, our Spring and Summer catch was great. We also, as usual, had some great fishing groups angling with us. To see some of the catches, go to "Thumbnails # 5" .
The fall brought some Red Tide to the area just South of us, but in our area the fish kill wasn't really bad. Of course any kill is bad, but it hadn't seemed to bother the fishing until early fall. We had some October, November problems with it blowing back and fourth with the N.E. and S.E. winds, but it seems the winds have died now and we have some great fishing on 6 hour, 8 hour, and 10 hour trips. The Kings are in deeper water, Amberjack are in good numbers on 8 hour trips, Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna are showing in good numbers in deeper waters along with some great Snapper fishing, generally on 8 or 10 hour trips. The feeling here is that December is going to be a great month for fishing weather, and we can certainly appreciate that, as September and October were a bit windy in spots, and November had brought some dark water to the near offshore. Now this is clearing up and the water looks good for Sportfishing on the medium to long trips. The December and Christmas-New Years season looks great for fishing the Centeral Gulf of Mexico. We'll see ya here for some great fun, on the Happy Hooker One, but get your reservations in early, before we are all filled up.
Bent rods and screaming reels, see ya on the water.
